Welcome to Free Motion Physiotherapy, serving 2 beautiful locations here in The Hague and Zoetermeer. Free Motion Physiotherapy is run by Laura Hamann, together with her entire team, they welcome you to get you out of pain and back in action!
All of our physiotherapists have an extensive knowledge in anatomy and body biomechanics. As a result, we are able to treat disorders that are stress related or that arise from work or sport activities. We specialize in disorders ranging from neck and shoulder pain, headache, lower back pain, arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis elbow, injuries to the meniscus or the tendons, fractures, shoulder, hip and rotator cuff issues.
We set ourselves apart by primarily using a hands-on approach to therapy. Free Motion focuses on regaining our clients mobility by reducing the recurrence of pain and restoring strength, ranges of motion and posture. We believe no one is the same, therefore our physiotherapists only use a client centered approach to therapy.
When a specific joint is injured the physical therapist will often use manual techniques to help aid in the healing process. Mobilization techniques focusing on correcting altered biomechanics by mobilizing joints during active movement are utilized.
It is important to recognize the role of muscles and their attachments around the joints. Muscle tension can occasionally decrease once joint motion is restored, however many times the spasm will continue to be present.
Dry needling is widely used for the treatment of muscle tightness or spasms, as well as chronic pain. Dry needling is the placement of a fine needle into a trigger point (the knots in muscles). Nothing is injected into the body, the changes in muscle tightness and pain occur predominately due to a change in the neural system known as the needle effect.
Kinesio tape facilitates the body’s natural healing process, preventing sports injuries, while allowing support and stability to muscles and joints without restricting the body’s range of motion.
Physiotherapy is a healthcare profession that assesses, diagnoses, treats, and works to prevent disease and disability through physical means. In a physiotherapy session the therapist will identify what is causing the problem by examining certain aspects of the structure of the body. Depending on the problem, the treatment plan may include releasing muscle tension, improving joint mobility and posture and increasing muscle strength in order to prevent further injury through exercises.
Free Motion has expertise in movement and function and we always work closely together with our patients to create the most appropriate treatment plan that suits their needs.
Just had my first physio appointment with David in Den Haag after hearing many great reviews from patients I have referred to him. I work with my hands a lot and so My elbows tighten up and eventually start to burn at the end of a busy week. After the treatment my elbows feel immediately much better. I would definitely recommend David to anyone suffering from pain or discomfort.

Laura is meticulous, professional and truly cares about the patient. She listens to you and does her best to help you on your way to a healthier body. She's unlike any other physiotherapist I have had before whom have only put me on a machine and left me to my own devise (may as well not have come in!). Laura (and her colleague Mandy) take their time from the moment you step in to the practice. I highly recommend seeing the physiotherapists from Free Motion Fysiotherapie, be it at the The Hague or Zoetermeer location.

No need to look further. Laura is your gal. Go in balled up with pain--leave with a smile on your face. Yes, she really is THAT good. If you can handle a bit of therapeutic pain, ask for dry needling. Your discomfort will be temporary and the payoff is significant. Go on now...have a little faith and dial her number.

Laura has magic fingers and knows what she is doing and she also listens - a rare quality. The physiotherapy sessions with her have greatly improved my quality of life and I'm very grateful for the care and consideration shown.
